Boober Eats sends topless strippers with food to hungry Oregonians

You may not be able to go to the strip club anymore because of the coronavirus but if you’re in Portland, Ore., you can get the strippers to come to you — topless and with chicken wings, if you want.Like some provinces here in Canada, Oregon’s governor, Kate Brown, ordered that bars and restaurants had to shut down to stem the spread of COVID-19. This meant that all strip clubs in the state had to close. But take-out and delivery is still allowed and that Shon Boulden, who owns the Lucky Devil Lounge in Portland to create Boober Eats, The Oregonian reports. Boober Eats is ready for your order tonight! @luckydevilloungepdx @booberpdx A post shared by Boober Eats PDX (@booberpdx) on Mar 17, 2020 at 6:38pm PDTWith the name an obvious parody of Uber Eats, Boober Eats allows customers to order from the Lucky Devil Lounge’s full menu online or by phone and the food will be delivered by nearly naked strippers. Though, they are given masks and gloves.“All the calls, people are just giddy and fun,” Boulden told the paper. “Sometimes it’s a surprise for someone, sometimes it’s a birthday, sometimes it’s people that are really stoned.”Although Boober Eats started as a joke on social media, Boulden has now turned the strip club into the headquarters for the new food delivery business, which takes orders from between 7 p.m. and 1 a.m. He’s keeping as much as his original staff as possible. While the kitchen staff are making the orders as normal, the bartenders are now taking orders over the phone and managing social media. And the security guards drive the strippers to the residences for their safety. He told the Oregonian delivery will usually cost around $30 but it varies on the distance from the club.“If someone wants to give us a couple hundred bucks to go to the coast, we’ll do it as long as the girls are taken care of,” Boulden told the paper. Our ladies do tricks for tips 😏 pic.twitter.com/PuxtWwgxEU— Boober Eats (@Booberpdx) March 21, 2020Strippers, who often only work for tips, are generally considered independent contractors and, as a result, aren’t entitled to any kind of employment insurance. So Boulden said Boober Eats was his attempt at a “solution” to help the unemployed dancers. But the strippers have still been hit hard by the club’s shut down. About 25 exotic dancers started working for the new Boober Eats, the Oregonian reports. But many have gone from making hundreds of dollars a night to around minimum wage, which in Oregon is $11.25 an hour.#booberpdx pic.twitter.com/nv4nbD8qfT— Boober Eats (@Booberpdx) March 19, 2020One dancer, who goes by the stage name Kiki, told the paper before her first Boober Eats shift last week the loss of her stripping gig was “devastating.”“For the majority of us, it’s been an almost complete loss of income,” she said. “I’m here supporting my community and trying to keep maintaining an income flow as best as we can.” View this post on Instagram A post shared by Boober Eats PDX (@booberpdx) on Mar 17, 2020 at 2:53pm PDTCommentsShare your thoughtsbreasts coronavirus delivery Food & Drinks nudity Portland (Oregon) Stripping Topless
